Chocolate is a sweet that makes everyone smile. Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center wants to say Thank You to the local Family Dollar in Harlan for donating 72 packs of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to residents and staff. You made everyone’s day a lot better and sweeter.
Residents and staff enjoyed the sun while gardening at Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center. Everyone enjoyed being outside and getting fresh air.

One of the wonderful employees at Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center, Melissa McMillian, CNA, cut all of her hair off and donated it to Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit organization. Thank you, Melissa, for participating in such a selfless act.
As Nursing Home Week came to an end last week, Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center wants to thank everyone that made the week amazing. Some of the staff rocked their “Sharing Our Wisdom” t-shirts end the festivities.
Residents at Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center enjoy sharing a garden together. They planted new flowers and later they painted rocks to place in the garden (while social distancing).
To keep celebrating nurses during Skilled Nursing Care Week, Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center cooked their staff a good ol’ country breakfast. So many tasty and delicious options, the nursing staff very much appreciated the breakfast bar.
Residents at Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center had some fun, but from a distance. They played a new game called “Noodle Ball” while listening to Classic Rock. The residents and staff had a great time playing and watching.
Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center wants to wish all of their nursing staff a very happy Nurses Week (May 6 – May 12). Your hard work and dedication towards the residents are to be commended and admired. Thank you for all you do for the facility.
