Thanks to Reverend Joe Howard and Lenarue Baptist Church for the beautiful flowers they provided for the residents at Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center for Mother’s Day. Each female resident received a flower and were so excited to get one.

Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center recently participated in the Career Fair at Harlan County High School. Alli Helton and Deanie Rigney talked with students about the job opportunities available at the facility. Students got to practice taking blood pressures on a Blood Pressure Training Arm. Students enjoyed participating in the simulation gadgets that were brought.
Staff of Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center thank Shirley Swiesz as well as the cadets and staff of the Challenge Academy for the beautiful flowers they brought the residents. It made them so happy to get this little touch of Spring for their rooms.
The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) honored Gail Hensley, administrator of Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center, with the 2019 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award. The leadership award was celebrated at ACHCA’s Annual Convocation and Exposition in Louisville in March. Only 7 percent of facilities nationwide qualified. Staff at Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center held their annual Volunteer Banquet the other day to show their appreciation for the wonderful volunteers. There are so many great volunteers who donate their time to making the resident’s lives better. Each and every one of you is very much appreciated.
